JVS Home Health Aide Program

IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO REGISTER!!!!!


The JVS Home Health Aide Program walk-in screening dates for this week are:

Wednesday, November 9th at 1 p.m. (screenings last approximately 3 hours)

and

Thursday, November 10th at 1 p.m. (screenings last approximately 3 hours)

We are currently enrolling students for our January 3rd class.

The Home Health Aide Training Program is a FREE Job Training and Job Placement Program offered to individuals who are low-income, and reside in the Chicago-land area. The program trains individuals to go into the home and care for the elderly, and individuals recovering from surgery or illness, or living with long-term disabilities.

Candidates must be 18 years old, possess a High School Diploma or GED, and have no felonies. If interested, candidates may walk-in for a screening this Wednesday or Thursday. The screening consists of a TABE (an assessment of reading and math skills), and an interview/completion of forms.

This: Wednesday at 1 p.m.. or Thursday at 1 p.m. interested persons can simply walk in to:

Clients/customers should bring the following documents with them to the intake:

1) High School Diploma or GED

2) Birth Certificate

3) Social Security Card

4) Driver’s License or State ID

5) Proof of Income (this could be the public aid award letter, unemployment statement, or check stub)
