Mercedes Martinez, leader of FederaciĆ³n de Maestros de Puerto
Rico/Teachers Federatuion of Puerto Rico.
Norma Yanina Parada leader in the Tegucigalpa teachers’ movement, member
of two of the most active national teachers’ organizations in Honduras,
and active the National Front of Popular Resistance.
Jitu Brown, Education Organizer for the Kenwood Oakland Community
Organization.
Kuumba Lynx, a female-founded hip hop arts and education organization
Sound of Soul, is the musical voice of Kenwood Oakland Community Organzation.
Workshops for and by K-5 teachers, middle/HS teachers, counselors, popular
educators, artists, parents, youth, union organizers, adult educators,
bilingual educators, queer activists, anti-PIC activists,
anti-school-militarization activists, youth workers, and MORE! (a full
list of workshops is attached)
Curriculum exhibits by teachers and resources for educators, and more.
PLEASE PREREGISTER TO AVOID A HUGE JAM AT THE DOOR!!!
I'm also attaching a poster. Please take time to put it up in a coffee
shop, library, school, or any space you visit. We need your help in
getting the word out. And please announce in your classes.
