ABOUT US
Healthy Families Chicago is a not-for-profit, community based, 501 (c) (3) organization
that provides primary child abuse and family violence prevention services to a target
population of underprivileged families and at-risk young parents in the Chicago area.
Healthy Families Chicago has several programs: Post Adoption Services, Respite Services,
Westside Family Advocacy, Project Launch Referral Services and The Home Visiting
Program.
The Home Visiting Program is a community based parenting program serving new and
expected mothers. It is designed to provide parents with parenting education, advocacy
and to assist families with resources, referrals and access to other community based
services and support.
Healthy Families Chicago Home Visiting is a community based parenting
program serving new and expected first time mothers ages 13-25. The
Home Visiting Program is designed to encourage, promote, and support the
development and preservation of healthy families in order to improve the quality
of life for children.
Our Mission is to serve the community by investing in our families and children to enhance
their quality of life.
Program Goals:

Increase Awareness regarding
Health, Safety and Nutrition
We Provide Services to under served Families in the following communities:
• East and West Garfield Park
• Cicero/Berwyn
• North and South Lawndale
• Back of the Yards
• Pilsen
• Brighton Park
• Little Village
• West Lawn
Healthy Families Chicago’s Home Visiting program is dedicated to assisting parents
with basic parenting skills to reduce child maltreatment and help parents get off to a good
start.
