Location: CCI National Office, Chicago, IL

Department Description: Greenheart, a division of the Center for Cultural Interchange (CCI), is CCI's environmental and social initiative that connects people and planet through environmentalism, fair trade, social transformation, and cross cultural understanding. Greenheart Travel offers work, teach, volunteer, internship, language study, and independent homestay programs for teens and adults in over 20 countries. Greenheart’s concern for the welfare of the planet drives our passion for helping responsible travelers satisfy their thirst for adventure while respecting the environment and unique cultural heritage of the destinations they explore.

Responsibilities:

• Assist management staff with day to day program operations
• Review and process applications
• Manage database
• Assist with marketing initiatives and participant recruitment
• Work on special projects as needed

Skills:

• Efficient and flexible team player
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Excellent organizational skills
• Knowledge of web marketing and social media preferred
• Foreign language skills and travel experience desirable; enthusiasm for international travel a must
• Desire to contribute to an organization that promotes environmental awareness, cross-cultural understanding and ethical business practices

Salary: Unpaid; part-time and flexible hours available Monday-Friday, 9:00-5:30pm.
