State Representative LaShawn Ford, the Chairman of the Small Business Empowerment and Workforce Development Committee, will be hosting a Small Business Seminar on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at the offices of the Chicagoland Foreign Investment Group, LLC, 111 East Wacker Drive, 26th Floor, Chicago, IL. A number of State Agencies will be present to provide information about their services, and conduct a workshop on how small businesses may get certified to do business with the State of Illinois. Entrepreneurial Idol
Chicago State University, in cooperation with Senator Mark Kirk and Representative Jesse Jackson, Jr., are sponsoring the Entrepreneurial Idol Competion for Small Businesses and Nonprofit Businesses.
